Historic WPT Prime Thailand Exhibition Opening Ceremony Today

The inaugural WPT Prime Thailand Exhibition, originally slated to kick off on July 30, 2025, has had its opening date officially moved to July 31, 2025 at 6 PM. Event planners have restructured the schedule, ensuring the bigger highlight events—including the WPT Prime Thailand Exhibition Championship, running from July 31 to August 5 will proceed as planned with a staggering ฿ 37 million (around $1.1 million) guarantee in travel funds.

With over 70 poker tables and a capacity for around 2,000 players, the venue offers a premium tournament experience blending sport-ready infrastructure with luxury amenities.

The opening ceremony were lead with the support of key Thai officials, alongside Michael, General Manager of the WPT Asia Pacific Region, and Christine, Tournament Director. Among the distinguished guests was Punnat Punsri, currently ranked 43rd on the Global All-Time Money List (ATML) and 1st on Thailand’s ATML. With career earnings exceeding $25 million, Punnat holds a commanding lead—earning over $22 million more than Kannapong Thanarattrakul, who ranks second on Thailand’s list.

Registration was only opened after the ceremony.
